It is important that your greenteQ Orion profile cylinder lock is correctly lubricated every 6 months, to ensure that it continues to work as expected, and to ensure that your guarantee remains valid.
Lubrication should be carried out using a specialist dry lubricant. These are specially formulated to work with profile cylinder locks. We recommend greenteQ Dry Lube lubricant, which is available in an easy to use 50ml bottle. Full instructions on how to use Dry Lube are included on the bottle. Please note that lubricants such as WD-40 or GT85 should never be used in the keyway of profile cylinder locks.
All brands of profile cylinder lock that are not regularly lubricated, or lubricated wrongly, can become stiff to operate. In some cases, they can seize up or the key can become trapped in the lock, making the door inoperable
